The Mayweather Story(50-0)

When people talk about boxing, there is only one name that comes to my mind and that is Floyd Mayweather Jr. Floyd Joy Mayweather Jr. was born on February 24,1977 in Grand Rapids,Michigan. His father,Floyd Mayweather Sr. along with many members in his family were professional boxers. So,from an early age he was grown as a boxer. But if you think he had a good childhood, you are completely wrong. His father was also a drug dealer and his mother was totally addicted to drugs. He lived in one of the worst neighborhoods of the country where it was hard to survive. In an interview,he even said that he had gone through hell in his childhood.

Mayweather had always thought of pursuing the career of a professional boxer. In his amateur career,he had a record of 84-8 and he even won the national golden gloves championship in 1993,1994 and 1996.He was nicknamed "pretty boy".

After amateur boxing career came the 1996 Olympics where he made a statement to the world by winning the bronze in the featherweight division. After that his professional career was next and it was like some boxing fantasy career with 0 loss.He knocked down one great fighter after other. He had some of the greatest fights in history.

After Mayweather beat Andre Berto in Sep 18,2015,he announced his second retirement from professional boxing with 49 wins and 0 loses.

The idea of a Mayweather comeback floated around April 2016, as rumors of Mayweather Promotions filing for trademarks of "TBE 50" and "TMT 50" hinted that Mayweather might have been targeting that 50th win.Around May 2016, another rumor started that a crossover fight between Mayweather and MMA star Conor McGregor was in the works. On May 7, 2016, Mayweather confirmed that he was the one who started the rumors regarding the potential clash. On March 10, 2017, Mayweather stated that only a fight with McGregor would make him come out of retirementIn front of 14,623, far short of a sell-out, Mayweather won via TKO in the 10th round, surpassing Rocky Marciano and setting the record for the longest active unbeaten streak in a professional career at 50–0.
